Although I was born in the Midlands and live just 7 miles from where my father was born in Smethwick, I spent most of my childhood and youth in Sussex before starting to travel. I have regularly been pulled back to both Worthing and Birmingham where I have supporting churches and many friends. I entertain hopes of being able to move to somewhere smaller soon.
I often run retreats, workshops and church weekends as well as giving lectures on managing stress, cross-cultural understanding and thriving as a single Christian.
When I’m not working, I love hiking (preferably in the Lake District where I’ve done all 214 Wainwrights), skiing, watching cricket at Edgbaston and gardening.
I’m an active member of a church in Birmingham where I’ve been an elder and have preached regularly, as in many other churches.
I’ve already written over 100,000 words in the form of blogs (most sadly no longer online) and have co-edited one book so far, which is available for sale through the website bookstore.
